Is this Abstraction?Yes this is Abstract why? because there are two out of three of the colours that are very populer with this subjet the colours there Red and Yellow the hole point with Abstrcation is gusesing what the photo is all in this photo is that you can see a Yellow a car and some peple if we did not see there faces or hair but you do not know were it was taken or what is blocking it thats waht makes it Abstrcat.

First time taking photos of AbstractionIts really hard to do you have to have good lighting (natural lighting) not the lights from the celling its quit hard to get good shadows to the the best shadows you can get from the shape I maded and the shadow are the closed to the surface of the table I did not get the camera with an angal but I suggest you do because it mite look a bit more intrestion I wish I did do that but i have learnt from my mistake and I will do it in future. There were alos shape that was the main focus well second one I kind of like the shapes i made but at the same time I do not I do not know why but I do wish I made more but you learn from your mistakes.

My homeworkI took the photos around my bedroom (I hope the lighting is ok because Idid this at night I think around 7 and 8pm) I resonantly just did my bedroom so i had to look and think hard on what i should take a photo of. Most of my photos have lots of colour (well i think so). For me it was hard because i did not know what to take a photo of or if it was right. I think I did well I think some of the photos are Abstract but some are not.

My homeworkThis is a spider web that has rian drops or dew. To me it look like map of America or crystals on a necklace. The photo is in black and white it is in focus so you can tell what it is but you can not tell whats in the background. There are LOTS of lines the lines are curvy ans thin. The light well I think the lighting is done by a artificial lamp you can not tell if its day or nightthere are not shadows it is soft and direct because its flash you a bright white like lines.I think there are shapes like diamonds, circles, triangles and squares they are not harsh but a little soft the shaps are curvy. There is little space like around the edges but in the middle very little. If you could touch whats in the photo well you took not feel a spider web but you could feel the rain or dew it would feel wet and cold there is a range of dark to light the darkest is in the background the lightest is in the front.

The task was to take a photo with paper to me I was like this is going to be hard I can not do it! you could only include the table and the paper. The task was hard (challenging) to do because I could not do the same photo so it had to be different every time. I think I did take risks because I do not think I would of have taken the camera so close to the paper to take the photo it was hard to do but I kind of enjoyed it.
Most of my photos are out of focus or in focus the light is artificial and the photos where taken in an angal. After doing this I'm going to take more photos like this I never did this before but know that I have broken the ice I'm going to do the a lot more. |
One of Saul letter's photoI choose this photo because of the bright pink purple colour that pops out of the photo.
whats unusual about the photo is the very bright background and the very edge of the umbrella. The ONE important formal element is colour because theres red at the background but it does not stand out because its out of focus if it was in focus it would stand out and you would be focusing on the red not on the main focus what is the pink purple umbrella there are a lot of bright colours in this photo so thats why I think its colour. Why it is abstract it's because you can not tell what the photographer has taken (well in this you can) and normally would not think of taking the photo and you can plan it or not with what goes in the photo. |
Saul Leiter photos are simple, with one object that the photographer is focusing on like the yellow car, the elderly person looking out of the window and the red umbrella the photographer does not plan his photos or photoshoots he just walks around the area that he wanted a waits and looks the photographer has to be quick and have a good eye if not he would misses great photo. I like his work because at first you think its untrusting and why would he do that but after that its interesting and you start to realist why he took at photo

John Baldessari get old unintresting photos and makes them more exstiting by putting bright colours like yellow, blue and red (primary colours) onto faces, backgrounds, adding noses, ears, glases thats just some of the things Baldessari does I do like Baldessari work like because its a little different to what I have seen before and it looks easy and fun to do and you can not mess it up you can have fun with it.

Hannah Höch work is a little bit weird or unusual (well to me)
but it is differed what she did was cut out photos from some where (I do not know maybe from magazines and newspapers) and put them together to make an image I kind of do not like Höch pintures/painting what ever it is its a little creepy to me but it might be because of the time theres were done. |
